C3 Communnity Outreach

The hub for community outreach is the white building on the corner of the church property, and this building is home to C3 Food Pantry. C3 Food Pantry is dedicated to serving and providing for the needs of our local Portland community through food assistance and groceries.

Kaz Brooks is the Executive Director of C3 Food Pantry and oversees a team of 50+ volunteers. C3 Food Pantry provided pre packed boxes of groceries to the community every Tuesday at 11am-12pm in a drive through/walk up line.

Community Groups are small groups of 5 to 10 people that meet regularly to build friendships, share a meal and grow in faith together. The Winter season of Community Group kicks off Thursday, 1/25 and runs weekly at 6:30-8pm. The Winter season runs for nine weeks and ends on Thursday, 3/21.

What happens at Community Groups?

  • 6pm: Doors open.
  • 6:30-7pm: Potluck dinner. Groups start with a meal because it is a great way to build community and get to know each other.
  • 7-8pm: A time of teaching from the Bible, followed by a time to share thoughts and ideas and simply discuss the Bible teaching as a small group. It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

Activate Zambia began as a new outreach initiative for C3 Church in 2023. Pastor Seth presented the vision to the C3 Church congregation of being a church that has both a local and a global outreach. This vision and work is continuing in 2024 and involves an exciting partnership between C3 Church and Grace Pentecostal Church and Ministries in Zambia.

Pastor Seth will be leading an overseas missions team from C3 NEPDX to Zambia for a conference, ministry and business training in August 2024. The C3 Zambia missions trip will lead Activate Zambia Conference, Activate Kids Conference in Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia. This outreach missions trip is run in partnership with local pastors, community leaders and churches in Zambia.

In 2023 over 200 children attended the Activate Kids Conference and 250+ youth and young adults attended the business training and mentorship program. The people of Kapiri Mposhi are excited to see Activate Zambia run again in 2024!
