The hub for community outreach is the white building on the corner of the church property, and this building is home to C3 Food Pantry. C3 Food Pantry is dedicated to serving and providing for the needs of our local Portland community through food assistance and groceries.
Kaz Brooks is the Executive Director of C3 Food Pantry and oversees a team of 50+ volunteers. C3 Food Pantry provided pre packed boxes of groceries to the community every Tuesday at 11am-12pm in a drive through/walk up line.
In addition to the weekly food box distribution, C3 Food Pantry has provided food help and food donations to dozens of non profit organizations, churches and schools over the past three years in N/NE Portland. Since March 2020, C3 Food Pantry has provided food help and food boxes to over 280,000 people. C3 Food Pantry also provides care and builds community through flower donations, Easter basket giveaways, community BBQ events, an annual community summer block party, school supply giveaways, Fall events, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas giveaway events and more.
Over the past five years C3 Church has served the community in numerous fire events, including providing use of the church building as space for an evacuation center for Multnomah county in 2018, serving 10,000+ people food, clothing and emergency supplies during the Oregon fires in 2020, and being a donation drop off site for people affected by the Hacienda apartment block fires in January 2021.
